NEW DELHI: Climate change is not yet sufficiently integrated into education, and only 50 percent of countries focus on the topic in their laws, policies or education plans at the national level, according to Unesco’s Global Education Monitoring (GEM) report.

The report mentions countries that stand out for their progress in climate change education.

He noted that Colombia has assigned a key role to its Ministry of Education in Climate Change Education (CCE) and has adopted a strong legal and policy framework on the issue.
