Not just job seekers, people dreaming of becoming job creators, PM Modi salutes the Indian startup

During the 83rd edition of the monthly Mann Ki Baat radio show, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today praised Indian start-ups saying they are providing solutions to global problems.

“This is the turning point in the history of India’s growth, where people now dream of not only becoming job seekers, but also becoming job creators. This will further strengthen India’s stature on the world stage, “the Prime Minister said.

“Until 2015, there were barely nine or ten Unicorns in the country. You will be very happy to know that now India is flying high, even in the world of unicorns. ”

There are more than 70 startups in India that have passed the valuation of over one billion, he added.

“Year after year, start-ups obtain record investments. This sector is developing at a very rapid pace. Even in small towns across the country, the reach of start-ups has increased. Nowadays, the word unicorn is very much discussed. “

In his remarks, Modi also greeted the country’s soldiers ahead of Navy Day and National Flag Day which will be celebrated next month. He also praised the security forces ahead of the Golden Jubilee of the 1971 war.

“Over the next 2 days we will enter the last month of 2021 in which we will celebrate Navy Day and National Flag Day. I would like to salute the courageous sons and mothers who have been involved in the defense sector, ”Prime Minister Modi said.
