‘No VIP culture in Modi era’: PM’s convoy gives way to ambulance in Gujarat, BJP chief shares video

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s kind gesture of giving way to an ambulance en route to the hospital on Friday, September 30, won hearts and received applause from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The video of the incident was shared by a BJP leader. According to the video caption, Prime Minister Modi, who is visiting Gujarat, stopped his convoy to make way for an ambulance. The BJP called it another move by the prime minister against VIP culture and called it a great humanitarian gesture.
“On the way to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Modi Ji’s stunt stops to make way for an ambulance. No VIP culture in the Modi era,” BJP leader Rutvij Patel wrote while sharing the video on Twitter.

In 2017, Prime Minister Modi, who has always opposed VIP culture in India, said that PPE (every person matters) should replace VIP and asked Indians to eradicate VIP mentality.

“Every person is valuable and important,” Prime Minister Modi said.

The prime minister traveled to polling town Gujarat on Thursday on an official visit to inaugurate several development projects in the state. He is on a two-day visit to his home state, where he served as chief minister for more than two decades.

My programs cover different sectors of development and are also spread across different parts of the state…I am looking forward to Surat tomorrow. This city has shown how hard work can lead to wonders,” Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
