New Delhi [India]May 07 (ANI): Lok Sabha Chairman Om Birla on Saturday officially launched the Kalam website, a literary initiative of the Prabha Khaitan Foundation to support and encourage vernacular literature.

Kalam’s aim is to popularize Hindi literature and provide a platform for old and young authors and poets to talk about their writings and their love for vernacular literature.

Kalam started her journey in the summer of 2015 from the cities of Jaipur and Patna and has held over 550 sessions spread across 40 cities in India and abroad since then.

As a loving gathering of authors with an audience that appreciates Hindi literary creations, Kalam’s sessions are insightful, inspiring, enriching and enjoyable.

Kalam is in line with the philosophy of our nation – “Unity in Diversity” which is reflected in the slogan of the Prabha Khaitan Foundation – “Aapne Bhasha Aapne Log”.

The Foundation is the repository of the gems of literary creations in Hindi language and Kalam scripts, successful sessions enriching the literary heritage of the nation.

One of the Prabha Khaitan Foundation’s prized literary verticals, Kalam features national reach, global identity and niche audiences. (ANI)
