Kerala to host Kerala Literature Festival in January 2023

The annual Kerala Literature Festival (KLF), hailed as the second largest festival of its kind in Asia, is set to return in January 2023, the first time after COVID-19. The festival sees a very impressive attendance and is known for its insightful discussions on art, film, literature, music, travel and more. Moreover, the Kerala Literature Festival 2023 will also have the pandemic as one of its main focus areas.

The festival, a 4-day event, will be held from January 12 to 15, 2023. Its previous edition, scheduled for 2022, was canceled in the country shaken by the pandemic. KLF is believed to be one of the biggest and leading platforms as it is mainly focused on Malayalam writers. In its previous editions, KLF has hosted eminent speakers and names such as Jeffrey Archer, Arundhati Roy, Shashi Tharoor, Paul Zacharia and many more.

It is reported that the Kerala Literature Festival 2023 will also see Geetanjali Shree, winner of the International Booker Prize for her novel,
Sand tomb.

KLF 2023 will be held on Calicut Beach, right by the Arabian Sea. With annual festivals making a comeback post-pandemic now, it’s definitely a good start.
