India’s favorite children’s literature festival – Kukdukoo is back!

India’s Favorite Children’s Literature Festival – Kukdukoo Bed Fest is back in town with its third edition. Starting Saturday, March 26, 2022, the two-day literary expedition and a unique interactive event for children is all designed to intrigue children and get them into the habit of reading with a whole host of fun and exciting sessions and performances, this times in Gurgaon.

Through this festival, KLF aims to create a buzz and raise awareness among children and their parents about reading physical books and storytelling.

From the authors’ sessions, the tales, the theater shows, the clown shows and the book fair; the event will take participants through the world of literature, poetry, visual and performing arts; all under one roof. Spread across different tracks for ages 3-13, the event will focus on the kids experience; to hire; to learn; and scribble. In addition to this, the festival will also connect with the parenting community through discussions on topics such as “storytelling or parenting,” “kids’ financial literacy,” and other parenting issues. The event will also host a Kukdukoo HAAT to shop creatively with the Food Junction.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the event, Mr. Avishek Roy, co-founder of Kukdukoo, said, “We need a change of direction to take our young children away from gadgets and shopping malls and closer to reading and narration. It is an effort to move the needle in that direction. We are extremely happy to welcome parents from Gurgaon-Delhi-NCR to attend the event in maximum numbers. I would also like to thank a few schools in Gurgaon like Suncity World, Kunskapsskolan, Shiv Nadar, Mount Olympus who support us and encourage their community of parents to bring their children to this literary event”.

Mr. Jugmendra Baliyan, co-founder of Kukdukoo added “With this festival, our intention is simple and clear – to keep children engaged while igniting their minds through reading.”

This euphoric gala will see the presence of eminent personalities, including authors like Maneka Gandhi, Paro Anand, Venita Coelho, Varsha Seshan; Storytellers – Jeeva Raghunath, Janaki Sabesh, Ramya Srinidhi and theater artists – Imran Khan, Mohd. Shameem and Garima Arya to name a few.

Furthermore, the third edition of Lit Fest will feature 14 eminent book authors, 18 renowned storytellers, 12 eminent theater artists, over 10,000 books by Indian and international children’s authors.

As per the schedule, the first day of the event will be filled with book and storytelling sessions by renowned authors and storytellers, spread throughout the day. To maintain the excitement, these sessions will be accompanied by puppet shows; musical poetry; doodling and calligraphy sessions organized for young minds aged 3-14. Whereas day 2 will include history-drama workshops; author sessions; followed by a clown show and doodling activities.

This one-of-a-kind festival will also feature mesmerizing performances from eminent artists including Fouzia Dastango, India‘s first female Dastango (storyteller) and Monica Santos, the famous Bollywood clown star.
