New Delhi [India], Dec. 13 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said on Sunday that every year 2 lakhs of people are arrested in Delhi and that 85% of those people commit crimes for the first time.

Asthana was speaking at the “Unnati” community policing event. He said: “Unnati’s main objective is to bring children caught up in crime back into the mainstream. This is done with a private partnership. More than 7,000 people have been trained and have been brought back into the mainstream. This initiative gives training sessions and provide them with jobs.
