Creating Excellent Literature to Improve Language: Justice Mishra

We must create excellent literature to improve our language. This will maintain the sovereignty of the country. Because the search for truth, the exploration and protection of human values are only possible through excellent and exemplary literature. Therefore, it becomes necessary that, in view of the future, literature should be created in the national interest. Human life, religion, culture and civilization are reflected only through literature.

These views were expressed by Judge Arun Mishra, Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, during his speech as guest of honor at the closing ceremony of the Gwalior International Literature Festival of four days organized by the Cultural and Sports Association of Udhbhav at the IITTM.

The Chancellor of Harisingh Gour University, Prof. Balwant Shantilal Jani; filmmaker and brand ambassador Udhbav Piyush Mishra; English Literator Parin Somani and IITTM Director Alok Sharma and Senior Program Sponsor and President of Sahitya Parishad Shridhar Paradkar were special guests at the closing ceremony.

Chief guest Mishra said that the culture and civilization of any country is known through its literature. The similarities, inequalities, anomalies and vices of society and country are all reflected in literature.

Special guest Balwant Jani said the Jaipur Literature Festival has become a center for criticism of Indian literature and culture only. He felt that the Gwalior Literature Festival is different and managed to leave an impression on his first attempt.

Chief Patron Paradkar said that today’s generation is moving away from literature, so there is a need to change the vocabulary of literature to suit their tastes and needs in the modern environment.
