Chhavi Mittal educates people on what not to say to a cancer patient: ‘You’re lucky, some are bad’

Chavi Mittal details her experience battling breast cancer on social media, updating her fans and followers on how she’s doing, how she’s feeling, while raising awareness of the disease and removing the stigma attached to it .

In a new Instagram post, the actor raised an important question, of what to “never tell a cancer patient”: “What you have is nothing, I’ve seen people fight worse. You’re lucky. Some people really hurt.

“Cancer is a battle not just for the patient, but for everyone around them. The least you can do is be sensitive. No two cancer journeys are alike, but why should we compare? Mittal asked.

Thanking her social media followers, she wrote that they “give [her] endless strength with [their] messages, wishes and experiences”.

Mittal, who is a mother of two, wrote the caption alongside a video of herself going “for PET pre-surgery.” She smiled looking at the camera – doing a hair flip and giving off positive vibes. “I keep thinking how lucky I will be that the cancer just isn’t there anymore!” Anyway, I’m ready.

She had shared in a previous post how she learned of her breast cancer, writing that she had gone to the doctor for a “minor chest injury” when they found the lump.
