Ayurveda recognized as traditional medicine in over 30 countries

Ayurveda is now recognized as traditional medicine in more than 30 countries and its acceptance is growing at a rapid rate around the world, Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, Honorable Minister of State for Ayush, said in a speech at of the Ayurveda Day 2022 program in New Delhi. held recently.

He also said, “Ayush, herbal products and medicines are exported to over 100 countries. The theme for this year’s Ayurveda Day was “Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda” to spread the benefits of Ayurveda to the wider and grassroots community.

According to the ministry, the six-week celebration saw a huge turnout from across the country, and more than 5,000 events were organized by the Ministry of Ayush institutes/councils, with the support of over 26 Indian Government Ministries and Indian Ministry of External Affairs Missions and Embassies.

The dignitaries present at the event were Shri Arjun Munda, Honorable Minister of Tribal Affairs, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Honorable Minister of Ayush, Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Honorable Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Shri Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, Honorable MoS Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, MoA Secretary, Shri Anil Kumar Jha, Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Shri Pramod Kumar Pathak , Special Secretary, MoA and Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Manoj Nesari, Director, AIIA, as well as the Representative of Foreign Embassies and WHO-SEARO.
