MUZAFFARABAD: A massive protest was staged here on Saturday under the auspices of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir against Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar’s speech during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA ).

A large number of citizens, waving banners and black flags, marched on the main road of the capital of the AJK chanting slogans of “Boycott Boycott India Boycott”.

Addressing the protest, President Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali said India’s foreign minister was trying to educate the world on peace as his own country had illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir for sixty years. -fourteen years old.

He argued that Indian forces had killed thousands of innocent civilians for speaking out for the implementation of UN resolutions. “Millions of citizens have been forced to migrate while tens of thousands of Kashmiri citizens have been injured by bullets, pellet guns and other violent attacks by Indian forces,” Ghazali added.

Additionally, he said, thousands of citizens were kidnapped from their homes by Indian forces, murdered and buried in unmarked graves. In fact, he added, the Indian foreign minister’s speech on peace at the UNGA was an insult to the prestigious platform, as the state he represented was committing serious human rights abuses. of man in the territory occupied for decades. Uzair said India was abusing international forums to mislead the world on the Kashmir issue.

Bilal Ahmad Farooqui, the refugee leader of the protest, said India was using lies to cover up deadly attacks on Indian Muslims, Kashmiri civilians and other minorities as the world was influenced by Indian propaganda.

The Vice President of the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, said the Indian Foreign Minister’s speech was full of lies and called on the international community to take notice of the crimes that India had committed against humanity.

Political leader Shaukat Javed Mir said India should keep its promises to the people of Jammu and Kashmir instead of misleading the world at international forums.

Other speakers including Khalid Mehmood Zaidi, Muhammad Sadiq Butt, Javed Ahmed Mughal, Usman Ali Hashim, Bilal Ahmed Ansari, Dr Muhammad Manzoor, Uzair Alam Mughal, Ch Muhammad Shehbaz, Sardar Ramzan’s Lawyer, Pervaiz’s Lawyer Mughal and Raja Sajeed Khan emphasized the demand for the right to self-determination for the peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue.

They also demanded the international community to compel India to immediately end human rights abuses and atrocities against civilians in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which was an internationally recognized disputed state.
