25 countries to meet at the 2021 EU virtual higher education fair

The sixth edition of the European Higher Education Virtual Fair (EHEVF) India will be held from November 24 to 26, 2021, via a 3D virtual platform that will connect the main European higher education institutes and Indian students. The fair aims to promote Europe as a destination for higher education and research for Indian students planning to study abroad in 2022.

120 higher education institutes from 24 European Union (EU) Member States, including Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden will be present in the living room. Norway participates as an associated country in the European Erasmus + program.

Some of the best European universities (according to the QS World University Rankings 2022) are participating this year. These include Trinity College, University College Cork and the University of Dublin in Ireland; Wageningen University and Research, Leiden University and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands; Aarhus University, Denmark; University of Twente, The Netherlands; Radboud University, The Netherlands; Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the University of Antwerp, Belgium; Università degli studi di Padova, Italy; University of Navarre and BarcelonaTECH from Spain; University of Tartu, Estonia; and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Students will have the opportunity to interact and choose from a range of universities and courses.

The 2021 European Higher Education Virtual Fair will offer Indian students the opportunity to interact with world-class institutions available in Europe and help them take practical steps on how to be admitted to one of the between them.

According to HE Ugo Astuto, Ambassador of the European Union, the choice of country, university and field to pursue higher education is a key decision. The EHEVF brings the EU, its Member States, universities and education organizations together on a single platform, allowing students to better understand the European higher education landscape and to make an informed decision. Student mobility is an essential aspect of people-to-people contacts, strengthening connectivity between the EU and India through academic and cultural exchanges.

Virtual fair: The face-to-face with European universities will be rich in activities, including webinars on specialized courses and programs, country presentations and live discussions with representatives, alumni and academics of the schools and participating universities.

Students will be able to interact with European universities via webinars, live chats, video calls and learn about higher education opportunities offered by participating institutes. Prospective students logging into the virtual fair would receive authentic advice and information directly from academic staff.

The virtual fair will host “town hall debates” at the end of each day from 6.45pm to 7.30pm.

  • Education Opportunities at EU Level (information on the Erasmus program, the Study in Europe project; Interaction with Euraxess and Erasmus Alumni) on November 24, 2021.
  • Tools to facilitate student mobility on November 25, 2021.
  • EU-India connectivity and what are the benefits for students? November 26, 2021
